ROSEMEAD HIGH SCHOOL - CLASS OF 1967 Dear Classmates, No matter how far from home we have traveled since June 1967, the experiences we shared with elementary school and high school classmates keep us connected. That period of time in our lives, those things remembered, is a common thread among us. Over the past forty years, we've all experienced blessings and joys, losses and sorrows, and, successes and setbacks. Now in our mid-50s, many of us are still active members of the workforce. Others have retired from one career and are now happily engaged in another. Some of us are savoring every moment of retirement and are pursuing dreams, dormant talents, personal interests, and life-long goals. Whatever your particular situation, the process of transition and change is another thread we share collectively. While it may be our common history that draws us together initially, a reunion does more than celebrate the past. A reunion can also be an opportunity to develop, rekindle, build and strengthen relationships that will become increasingly meaningful to us in the future. I have already found that the challenges of age-related issues seem significantly less serious in the company of classmates who, with empathy and amusement, can both relate to and appreciate the irony of our shared predicament. I have discovered, too, that the afterglow of laughter in good company lingers... On behalf of the members of the committee, I welcome and encourage you to be a part of this 40-year celebration. Whether you attend as a first-timer or are a veteran reunion attendee, please know that you are an important member of a wonderful community of classmates. Come. Be surprised and delighted. I urge you to come. Celebrate life and the joy of living.
